Being able to live a LW lifestyle is honestly a privilege based on the way our society is currently set up. There is typically an additional cost associated with more eco-conscious products, food, etc. (see greenwashing). Some LW swap products have a pretty hefty upfront cost, since you’re paying for quality and longevity and we’re not really used to doing that. It’s typically worth it over time, but it can definitely be a big investment with some sticker shock.
Also…it’s kinda hard! You have to make an effort to go to a special bulk supply store that may not be as close as your normal grocery store or Target (or Amazon, at your doorstep). I fully recognize not everyone can afford the financial and time cost associated with it. Moral of the story – do what you can, when you can. Maybe set a goal for yourself, like one LW swap per month or whatever works for you. There’s no one right way to do it.
